About this Project

Nourish Foundation, a leading organization dedicated to sustainable Eco Village development in Rural Africa, is embarking on an ambitious expansion of Eco Villages. To support this growth, we developed an advanced internal portal designed to streamline their operations, standardize procedures, and enhance communication across all locations. This portal ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, and documents are universally accessible through both desktop web apps and mobile apps.

Objectives

• Develop a universal portal accessible across all Eco Village locations.
• Create a user-friendly interface to accommodate varying levels of tech proficiency.
• Ensure secure, role-based access to different sections of the portal.
• Allow managers to add and manage documents and pages efficiently.
• Provide offline access to essential forms.
  

Key Features:

• Four-Tier Access System: The portal is customized for four user groups: Foundation Staff, Regional Managers, Eco Village Managers, and General Staff. Each group has different access levels and document visibility.
• Three-Layered Navigation: The portal features a structured navigation system with a home screen (including quick links), category pages, and individual document pages.
• Document Types: We built three types of document pages: Forms, Documents, and Information, to cater to various needs.
• Multi-Platform Access: The portal is downloadable on phones and accessible via desktop web apps.
• User-Friendly Interface: Designed for ease of use, ensuring even non-tech-savvy staff can navigate effortlessly.
• Managerial Access: Managers have the ability to add and update documents and pages within the system.
• Offline Access: Certain forms are accessible offline to ensure uninterrupted workflow.

Digital Impact

The new internal portal will significantly streamline Nourish Foundation's operations, improving efficiency and communication across their expanding network of Eco Villages. The role-based access system ensures secure and appropriate access to information, while the user-friendly interface has empowered all staff members, regardless of their technical expertise, to perform their duties effectively.
